A hose conveniently attached to the cottage was perfect for rinsing off our feet and cleaning up the dog after each outing, helping us keep the indoors tidy.

While the road noise was as expected, the morning activity right behind the cottage was surprising and made sleeping in a bit challenging. It also startled my dog, as workers were busy quite close to the bedroom. Additionally, the garden area lacks privacy due to the cottage setup, with the other guests' entrances being close together, but this wasn't an issue with us as our neighbor was quiet.

The place was nice and clean and there were some snacks left by the host which was a nice touch.
It's fenced off which is always a bonus especially when travelling with a pet. The area was really well looked after.

My only blot on an otherwise blissful stay was the really poor wifi, which was a hotspot and the speed is really terrible, for the price I expected better wifi - one would imagine this is the standard feature when searching for accommodation, especially in the remote working world we live in so it would be nice if this was improved.

All in all a good stay.

  De Rust hosts welcome guests with warmth and attention to detail. Gestures like gifts for the guests (farm products, rusks, wine etc) and a wonderfully comfortable bed make it... read more a wonderful stay. The two semi-detached cottage small gardens are well maintained with soft grass, flowers and outdoor furnishing. Personally preferred Fig Cottage as it has more outdoor space & better sunset/overall views.

The private Pear Dam is lovely and we had fun on the old windsurferboard. It's a 7min walk up a small hill across the busy road, not the accommodation side. A bit further past the small dam near old house ruins is Theewaters - but the area was very littered so rather drive to the clubhouse.

The well-mentioned and cautioned road is highway-speed traffic noisy, in front of the cottages and in view. Be mindful of AirBnB service, per person, and animal charges to nightly rate.

Loved that the whole property is fenced off - made life with two curious dogs much easier. Beautiful views. Lovely stay overall.

Arbeiter sind den ganzen Tag beschäftigt drumherum und ruhig ist es höchstens am Abend und am Wochenende, auch wegen der direkt vorbei führenden Hauptstraße. Das ist zwar erwähnt, war aber trotzdem lauter und näher als gedacht. Die Picknick area mit einem kleinen Teich ist aber wirklich sehr schön.
